Gölcük
Gölcük, which was established after the Republic, is a region with a garrison character. Established in 1925 with the search for a shipyard needed for the repair of the battleship Yavuz, the shipyard became permanent in the region in 1950.
In Gölcük, which is also home to an important delicacy such as Değirmendere hazelnut; Gözentepe Recreation area and Kervansaray ruins in Şirinköy, 1 March 1958 Üsküdar Disaster Martyrs' Cemetery in Dumlupınar District, Çınarlık Square in Saraylı, Sultanbaba Tomb in Örcün Village in Değirmendere Town and old Turkish houses under protection, Gölbaşı Restaurant in Hisareyn Town, which is connected to Nüzhetiye Village, Trout facilities and waterfall, Kadırga Recreation area connected to summer town, Kavaklı-Değirmendere-Halıdere-Ulaşlı Beach Line and Social Facilities, Şelale Location in Mahmuriye Village, and Roman-Byzantine tomb remain in Halıdere Town.
