Caucasian Exile Commemoration Ceremony

The pain and sorrow experienced by the Caucasian Peoples such as Abaza, Adygea, Circassian and Ubykh, who were forced to migrate from the Black Sea coast to the Ottoman lands in 1864, preserve their place in memories with their tears. In cooperation with Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality and Non-Governmental Organizations, a commemoration program was organized on the Kandıra Babalı coast, the land where the Caucasian Peoples were first exiled, to remember the pain they experienced 159 years ago.
