Blue Flag Beaches is a standard that certain beaches are entitled to receive within the framework of certain criteria such as bathing water quality, environmental management, and life safety by the International Environmental Education Foundation (FEE). 7 beaches of Kocaeli have earned the right to be Blue Flag Beaches. These beaches are Bağırganlı Public Beach, Kumcagiz Beach, Miço Bay Women's Beach, Cebeci Public Beach, Seyrek Public Beach, Kovanağzı Public Beach, and Kerpe Public Beach.
