The building, which was built in 1776 on one of the slopes of Izmit overlooking the sea, is also known as the Gümüşlüoğlu Mansion and the Old Ethnography Museum. One of the examples of civil architecture that best reflects the period it was built, the mansion with a view of the Gulf of Izmit attracts the attention of visitors with its stained glass, double-glazed, arched, wooden shutters, and socket windows.
