In Hereke, where great earthquakes took place for 45 days during the Beyazıt period, the castle was destroyed due to earthquakes. The Hereke Castle, which is thought to have been built in the 640s, the period of the Eastern Roman Empire, has also been the subject of Evliya Çelebi's Travel Book. The restoration of Hereke Castle was completed in recent years and the work that emerged won the best project award.
