Historical Ereğli Houses, which have been restored by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, have been the venue for various Yeşilçam films. Houses undergoing restoration work, including Çıpali Konak, which is considered the most remarkable of the houses, reflect the traditional structure of Ottoman Turkish houses.
