The museum, where artifacts from the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman periods are exhibited, consists of a combination of structures in the historical station buildings complex built between 1873-1910. This building, which consists of a repair workshop, water tank, lodging building, and two Tekel warehouses, is the work of German architect Otto Ritter and has been meeting with visitors as a museum since 2007.
