Click for directionsKonca Sarcophagus, a tomb structure built in the Roman Period in the 2nd century A.D., is known as the "Roman Tomb" in the region. The tomb was made in a form similar to other sarcophagi in the Bithynia Region. There is an inscription on the part of the sarcophagus facing the sea. In the inscription, “Poidonei, sons of Artemata and Artemidoros, and Tatia, daughter of Apollonios, had this sarcophagus prepared for them. Greetings to passers-by and those who pass by the sea”.
