The mosque in Izmit, also known as Yeni Cuma Mosque, is among the works of Mimar Sinan in Kocaeli. The mosque and fountain within the mosque and complex, the construction of which was completed in 1579, has survived to the present day by preserving its architectural features. The absence of tiles in the mosque is a remarkable feature. The primary school, which has completely lost its original shape, and the ruined bath are the remaining parts.
