The mansion belongs to Selim Sırrı Pasha, who was appointed as the governor of Izmit in 1888 and was the first General Road Affairs Traveling Inspector of the Ottoman Empire, and its plan was drawn by its owner. Landscape paintings and pencil works on the interior walls of the building, which were built with the wooden frame construction technique, are eye-catching. The restoration work of the mansion, which was damaged by a fire, started in 2009 and was completed in 2012.
